Golf NIL Valuation Rankings: Week 12 Movement

Money Moves

Hiroshi Tai takes over the 14th spot this week in the College Men's Rankings. The Straits Times, Singapore's leading newspaper with 1.2 million daily readers, has featured Tai ahead of his Masters debut. With an entire nation rallying behind him and support from organizations like the Singapore Golf Association and the Asian Golf Industry Federation, the Georgia Tech junior is set to become the first Singaporean golfer to compete in the major.

Tai qualified for the 2025 tournament by claiming the individual title at the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships. In January, he shared the invitation on Instagram with a post that read, "Dreams do come true, excited for the Masters."

Welcome to the Boards

Luke Potter makes his debut on the Golf NIL College Men's Watchlist. On the course, the Texas golfer has recently claimed a top 10 finish at the Amer Ari Invitational and victory at The Hayt. Off the course, he's found himself in the headlines after a controversial moment at The Players Championship.

Regardless of opinions on whether heckling has a place in golf or if a top-ranked college player who understands the mental grind of the game should take part, the reality is that Potter is a talented athlete, and more people know his name than they did before the incident. He's even gained significantly more social followers in the last week—a count that could have just as easily gone in the opposite direction.

That tells us that Potter has attracted more interest, and with that, he now has an opportunity to do something with it.

We look forward to seeing what's next.

Tyler Weaver also adds his name to the College Men's Watchlist. With three top 10 finishes this season, including a win at the Cabo Collegiate, the Florida State sophomore is steadily moving up the ranks. A member of England Golf Men's Squad, he's the first confirmed player from his country to win the title—a title that has also earned him a spot in his first PGA TOUR event at the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship this November.
